Welcome On Board!

Thank you for trusting us with your business!

We are looking forward to working with you and exceeding your expectations. We have put together the first steps of your journey with Runningfish to help you set up all the needed accounts and guide you in collecting your content.

Make sure you’ve set up all your basic accounts

1. Purchase your website domain

If you don’t already have one, start by purchasing your website domain from GoDaddy and email us the login information.

2. Selling online? Create your payment gateway

If you plan on selling anything on your website, create an account with a payment gateway like Stripe or PayPal. We’ll ask you for your credentials when we need them; for now, make sure the account is set up and ready to use.

Here is a great comparison between the two, so you can decide what works best for you. From a technical perspective, Stripe has a bit more to recommend it, but both are great solutions.

3. Set up Dropbox account

Set up a Dropbox account to share with us all the content you want to be featured on your website or in your marketing campaigns. Cloud-based services like this one are always the safest and fastest solution for storing, recovering and sharing media files of all sizes and confidential documents.

4. Set up your email

If you are hosting with us, Mozilla Thunderbird is our email client of choice to ensure deliverability and effective spam blocking.

! Do not send promotional emails to your clients via your business email. This will mark it as spam and you will not be able to send or receive any communication. For marketing emails, please use one of the platforms mentioned at #5.

5. Set up your email marketing account

If you haven’t already chosen an email marketing software (EMS) platform, we encourage you to create an account with MailChimp. You’ll be able to promote new products and services, share good news, and more.

Make sure to grant us access to your MailChimp account after you’ve set it up, so we can easily and quickly manage your campaigns.

Website not looking the way it should?
Try a hard refresh!

Often times when we make changes or updates to your website, it can take some time for those changes to show. It is not uncommon that during this process, files are rendered incorrectly and things may not look how they originally did.
