Common Questions about our Services

How does a website audit work?

A website audit is a broad term that depends on who you’re working with. When you work with us, we will perform a thorough review of all the components used to build your website and what solutions and improvements could be implemented. We look at everything from the technical specifications like what framework was used to build the website, how fast the website is, the overall design, and if it matches the business’s goals. By looking at every aspect of the website we can determine any changes needed to be made to improve the experience which will ultimately lead to more conversions.

What is UI?

UI stands for User Interface and is used to describe the design of a website or application. It is the look and feel; it pertains to the visual elements. Every website and brand has their own unique UI when it comes to buttons, text, images, sliders, forms, and all the other items users interact with. Great UI must be in lock step with the client’s branding.

What is UX?

UX is short for User Experience or the interaction between the website and users. The experience has to be a pleasant one otherwise users will exit the site and go elsewhere. Like with UI, there are elements that impact the overall experience such as navigation and information architecture. A well thought out UX will lead to more impactful customer experiences that help reach your business’s goals.

Where can I see examples of websites you've designed?

We update our portfolio on a regular basis with recent projects which you can view on our case studies page.

What are the differences between web design and web development?

Both terms are very similar, but they differ in key areas. In the case of web design, the focus is the look and feel of the website. The visuals and elements must be aligned with the branding in order to help create a memorable user experience.

For web development, the focus is the actual coding of the website to build up the structure of the website. Part of web development is also adding integrations and functionality in order to improve workflows for our clients. Ask us how we can help with integrations to your website.

What CMS do you work with?

We have worked with a variety of Content Management Systems, CMS, over the years. The most common ones we work with are:

  • WordPress
  • Shopify
  • Magento

If you have any questions about a CMS not on our list, feel free to ask us about it.

How much input do I have in the process?

It’s your website, therefore you get to provide a lot of input. It is critical to our process that we get feedback and input in order to ensure your website truly matches your vision. We have a very thorough process that will make sure we cover all bases and answer any questions you might have.
